Resume and Networking Workshop!

Location:  EPL Stanley Milner Community Room 1

Date & Time: Sunday, March 29th, 2026, from 12:00—2:30pm

     In this workshop, LEED will provide a detailed guide on resume building, cold emailing, and offer personalized feedback throughout!

 

     Join us for an informative and interactive workshop on resume building and networking skills! Whether you're applying to scholarships, jobs, research or volunteer opportunities, this workshop will guide you through how to effectively present your experiences and confidently reach out to future employers and supervisors. Event attendees will have access to:

  • An in-depth presentation from our team going over the fundamentals of resume buildings + practical tips based on our own experiences

  • How to write cold emails to organizations and employers

  • Interactive activities to help you practise these skills in real with immediate feedback on your resumes!

Snacks will be provided! This event is aimed towards high school and University students who want to stand out on their next application! Don't miss out on the chance to develop valuable skills that will support your future academic and career goals!

What are our Events?

Our team will be organizing events that will be a space for parents/guardians and students to learn about programs and schools in Edmonton in an interactive environment. 

​

These events will have guest speakers present to talk about opportunties available to Junior high or High school students, provide more information on the school systems in Edmonton, or other important topics

​

Our events will have booths dedicated to progams in Edmonton where parents/guardians and students can talk to people who have graduated from these programs and have personal experience. Any volunteers or members are happy to answer any questions asked. We hope to see you there!

High School 101 | Programs, Scholarships, and Volunteering Workshop

Location:

EPL Stanley Milner Community Rooms 1 & 2

Date & Time: Saturday, January 11, 2026, from 12:00—2:30pm

​

This in-person event will discuss various high school programs and opportunities, with a focus on scholarships, research, and volunteer opportunities for high school students. Event attendees will have access to:

  • An in-depth presentation on applying for scholarships, research, and volunteerism in high school

  • Tabletop presentations from representatives of various volunteer & research organizations which provide opportunities for high school students

  • Presentations from representatives of various high school programs (IB, AP, French Immersion, Metro Continuing Education, RAP, etc.)

Extensive opportunities to network with university students and volunteer organizations

 

Snacks will be provided! This event is aimed towards incoming and new high school students wanting to set themselves up for success! Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to kickstart your future!

University Admissions 101

Location: EPL Stanley Milner Community Rooms 1 & 2

Date & Time: Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:30pm

 

This event includes a detailed information on post-secondary institutions in Edmonton, including:

  • Scholarships

  • Entry requirements

  • Prerequisites

  • Applying transfer credits

  • General details on programs

  • Campus life

  • And more!

 

There is the opportunity to learn about different university programs and personally speak with alumni and current students about their experiences.

​

This event will also have light lunch and snacks provided.

​

Please note: We will primarily be focusing on the University of Alberta and Macewan.

High School Workshop

Date & Time: Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 12:30—3:30pm

This event has an in-depth tour of our website, and how you can use it to help your research on high school programs in Edmonton!

 

Take time to learn about Edmonton High School programs and personally speak with former students who graduated from an assortment of different high school programs in Edmonton.

​

Have the opportunity to speak with representatives of many volunteer organizations that are recruiting volunteers/participants (in junior high and high school) for their own initiatives

​

This event will also have light lunch and snacks provided.

Introduction to LEED

Date & Time: Sunday, November 24, at 12:45pm to 3:00pm

This event contains:

  • An-depth tour of our website, and how you can use it to help your research on high school programs in Edmonton

  • How to communicate with your children to find a program that fits best for them together

  • An opportunity to personally speak with former students, teachers and other staff members of high schools in Edmonton

​

This event will also have light lunch and snacks provided.
